Lloyd Segal - Los Angeles Community Volunteer
A real estate litigation attorney for more than 30 years, Lloyd Segal has earned recognition for his expertise, publishing multiple books on the topic and appearing in news publications and on various broadcasts nationwide. Outside of his work in real estate law, Lloyd Segal has long devoted considerable time to his community.
Mr. Segal provided pro bono legal assistance in UCLA’s Lawyers for Arts, where he assisted artists with legal matters related to music, theater, and the performing arts in the late 1970s and early 1980s. From 1987 to 1990, he also provided pro bono help in real estate matters to indigent defendants at Bet Tzedek Legal Services.
As a member of Mercy Ships, an organization that provides humanitarian assistance after natural disasters, Mr. Segal traveled to New Orleans in 2005 to help with the Hurricane Katrina recovery effort. He assisted Haitian residents after the 2010 earthquake destroyed homes and resulted in more than 160,000 fatalities. He also volunteered with the Covenant House in Los Angeles, helping them organize the charity event “Covenant with Youth” Gala in 2005.
As current president of the Los Angeles County Real Estate Investors Association (LAC-REAI), Mr. Segal has expanded the organization's events and programs for members and investors. His contributions include expanding vendor expos, basic training boot camps, and out-of-state investing summits. He has also reconfigured the organization’s website and expanded the organization’s broadcast, LAC-REIA.TV, and gold membership activities. Mr. Segal currently resides in Los Angeles.
